Looking for the best CKA course? You are in the right place. I am a CKA certified DevOps engineer, and I will help you choose the best course to prepare.
If you search Google for the best CKA courses, you will see many options, but you won't know which is right for you. So I created this blog to help the DevOps community choose the best course for them.
While there are dozens of CKA courses available, I have shortlisted four unique CKA courses that suit different stages of preparation.
So if you are ready to start your CKA journey, this guide is for you.
What to look for in a CKA Course?
CKA preparation is not just about getting certified. You get to learn Kubernetes concepts in a structured way. This way, you learn the concepts and can prepare for the exam at the same time.
Also, the CKA exam is fully hands-on, so just watching videos isn't enough. You need hands-on practice and Kubernetes problem-solving skills under a time limit.
So, to prepare for the CKA exam, you need a structured CKA course that helps you learn and prepare the right way.
Best CKA Courses
I have selected the following four CKA courses based on my experience and the DevOps community's preferences.
- DevOpsCube CKA Course
- KodeKloud CKA Course
- KillerCoda Scenario Course
- Killer.sh Exam Simulator
Let's look at them one by one in detail. It will help you choose the best based on your learning and preparation requirements.
1. DevOpsCube CKA Course
The DevOpsCube CKA course is a text-based course that covers every concept with detailed explanations, real-world examples, diagrams, and hands-on scenarios, each in its own section.
The course is authored by Bibin Wilson and Aman Jaiswal, who is a Kubestraunaut.

The course starts by explaining the architecture of Kubernetes and moves into each concept, explaining it from its fundamentals to advanced topics
It is also updated with the latest curriculum changes like Gateway API, CRDs, Helm, etc. All sections include quizzes to check whether you have fully understood the concept.
This is not just a CKA preparation course. It covers bonus content for each concept outside the exam scope.
The course also includes 80+ practice questions and answers. The entire bundle is valid for 2 years with a single purchase.
If you want a one-time purchase and need time to prepare for the exam and learn the concepts in-depth like an actual kubernetes administrator, this course is for you.
2. KodeKloud CKA Course
The KodeKloud CKA course is a video-based course that includes hands-on browser-based labs and practice tests in each section.

Currently, the course contains approximately 17 modules, 309 lessons, and 25 hours of video content. It starts with Kubernetes fundamentals and moves into each CKA-related concept one by one.
At the end of the course, it provides 3 mock exams with solutions for exam practice.
KodeKloud is subscription-based. If you pay for a monthly or annual subscription pack, you will get access to the CKA course, including all other courses. You can use KodeKloud discounts to get the subscription at a reduced rate.
If you can prepare for the CKA in a short time and are ready to pay for a subscription-based model, KodeKloud is the right platform for you.
3. Killercoda CKA Scenario Course
Unlike the above course, this does not have theory lessons.
This is completely scenario-based, with an approximately 11-minute video on each scenario to prepare you for the exam. Killercoda CKA Scenario Course covers scenarios from different concepts related to the CKA exam.
Not just a single task in a scenario. Some scenarios include multiple tasks you need to complete one by one.

Now, Killercoda comes with a chatbot named Brain, which you can chat with between scenarios to get tips if you are stuck or for additional information.
One of the main advantages of Killercoda is that it provides the same environment as the CKA exam, so you can practice every scenario in the exam environment and get used to it.
To access the CKA Scenario course, you need to buy a 1 or 3-month subscription.
If you already know Kubernetes and just want to prepare for the CKA exam, this course is right for you.
4. Killer.sh CKA Exam Simulator
Killer.sh is a CKA exam simulator designed to test your Kubernetes knowledge in 2 hours.
When you purchase the CKA certification, you will get two Killer.sh CKA simulators, each with different questions, with a total of 17 complex scenarios each. These scenarios are more complex than the actual CKA exam questions.

This is designed to test your work under the same time pressure as the actual exam. Once the time limit is reached, the simulator does not close; you can continue working on it. Its goal is to check the number of questions you complete within the specified time limit.
The simulator will be active for 36 hours from the time you start it, so that you can go through it and work on the questions and solutions.
If you are already working with Kubernetes in your day-to-day work and only want to get used to the exam terminal and practice for the CKA, this is the right platform for you.
